A perfect chance to discover some of the wonders of Sicily. Heading to Marsala from Palermo, your Driver will tell you of the history and anecdotes about the historical buildings you will be seeing and you will enjoy the view of gorgeous natural landscapes along the way.
Upon arriving at Marsala, the driver will bring you near to Motya, an ancient Phoenician town, located among the west coast of Sicily, the Isola Grande and the mainland.
You will reach the island by boat and you will feel like going back in time through stretches of vineyards and ruins of the ancient civilization: the “Necropoli arcaica” (Archaic necropolis), the “Casa Delle Anfore” (house of amphoras), the town walls, the “Casa Dei Mosaici” (house of mosaics) and the fascinating “strada sommersa” (o road under the level of the sea) which connects the island to the mainland.
Afterwards, you will enjoy the guided tour to the historical Florio’s wine cellars, starting from the eight majestic giant vats, going ahead through the Garibaldi Room, the barrel cellars and the Wine Cellar itself, an evocative, magical place where more than 5 million litres of Marsala are preserved in a silent, quiet stillness. At the end, you will reach the “Donna Franca” tasting room, where the visitors are welcomed by background music, an evocative play of lights and led through the tasting by a virtual guide which brings them into the discovery of unexpected feelings, flavours and scents.
The last stop of our tour will be a thousand-year old place, cradle of Homeric Heroes, dwell of Giants and Gods: Selinunte. You will be able to experience the Myth and the Legend, only few steps away from a sea of thousand shades of emerald and turquoise. Among the Temples of the Archaeological Park you will be overwhelmed by the endless charm of an immortal place.
