This trip begins in Florence and goes for a 90-minute drive towards south, comfortably admiring the unique Tuscan countryside, until we reach the heart of Val d’Orcia (Orcia valley). This beautiful valley became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2004 due to the harmony and beauty of the cultural landscape.
Our first stop will be in the small medieval town of Pienza, located on top of a hill, where it is possible to admire the breathtaking view of the valleys below and taste the famous “Pecorino di Pienza” – Sheep cheese produced in the area.
Afterwards we will head to Montalcino. Here we will visit the winery for tasting the two starring roles of this production area: Brunello di Montalcino- a pure Sangiovese DOCG (red wine grape variety – controlled and guaranteed denomination of origin) and Rosso di Montalcino.
This wine tasting could be optionally paired with an exquisite light lunch made of typical and genuine local products.
At the end we will move back to Florence where all our services end.
